Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are being offered in autumn and winter 2025/6 to people who are eligible. It’s strongly recommended you get vaccinated if you’re eligible this winter.

Booking your appointment
NHS Scotland will contact you if you’re eligible for the Flu and/or COVID-19 vaccine this winter.
If you’re eligible, you will receive a letter, email or text message with details of your appointment or information on how you can book one. Please wait to be contacted.
The easiest way to rearrange an appointment is online. You can do this through the online booking portal. You can also phone the national vaccination helpline on 0800 030 8013 to rearrange your appointment over the phone. For more information on booking your appointment, visit NHS Inform.

- The Gyle: 8.30am to 6.15pm, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
- Ocean Terminal: 8.30am to 6.15pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
- Waverly Mall: 8.30am to 6.15pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
Who will be offered the vaccines?
You’ll be offered the flu and coronavirus vaccines this year if you:
- are aged 75 years or over
- live in a care home for older adults
- are aged 6 months or over and have a weakened immune system
Eligibility for winter vaccines is based on advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI). This guidance is reviewed every year so it’s important to check what vaccines you are eligible for this year.
You’ll be offered the flu vaccine this year if you’re:
- aged 65 and over
- aged 18 to 64 with an eligible health condition
- pregnant
- living in a long-stay residential care home or other long-stay care facility
- living with someone who has a weakened immune system
- an unpaid or young carer
- a frontline health or social care worker
- a non-frontline NHS worker
- a poultry worker or bird handler
- an asylum seeker living in a home office hotel or B&B accommodation
- experiencing homelessness or substance misuse
- living in a Scottish prison

COVID-19 advice videos in different languages
COVID-19 is still worrying for many people. There is a large amount of information and guidance available, which can be difficult to read through and absorb. It can be even more difficult if you feel most comfortable using a language other than English. NHS Lothian have created nine videos in different languages containing key information about COVID-19 and what to do if you have symptoms.
